“PATH" Dance and Theater Performance at the Ancient Theater of Milos!

"It is a stage composition of Theater, Dance, Performance Art and Music that encourages collective movement. What kind of relationship can the philosopher Plato, the goddess Aphrodite, a Venezuelan-born Canadian architect, and a Milian musician develop? What impact does the allegory of Plato’s cave have on the soul and mind of each of them and what connects them to the sea? How will they manage to tell the story of a never realized trip to the Cyclades inside the orchestra of the Ancient Theater of Milos? A Poetic Passage from Darkness to Light through Love that is always transmitted, given with humor, lyricism, and straightforwardness.

"The first part of “From the Sea” Festival 2022 organized by “International Dance & Theater Center of Milos” Non-Profit Organization, was completed with great success. The multi-disciplinary Festival with its interactive and participatory character left the best impressions on the public and is preparing for its next actions.

The Playful Meeting / Performance “Passage through the cave: Journey from Light to Darkness” was presented in the caves of Sarakiniko beach, on the subject of the allegory of Plato’s cave, in collaboration with the project “Milograma” and the Architect Ayala (Canada/Venezuela).

The Old School of Zefyria hosted the opening of the Photography and Multimedia Exhibition “Zephyria is not far away” by Photographer Apostolos Zacharakis and Architect Luisa Ayala, with research material for the Festival and its connection with the activity of the Company of previous years and the inclusion of the Community in it. Apostolos Zacharakis showed the public his technique with Polaroid and excited young and old audience.

The honorary guest of the Festival Ingemar Lindahl, Former Ambassador of Sweden to UNESCO, first ambassador of Sweden to Cyprus, writer and poet, was thrilled with the artistic and social character of “From the Sea” Festival and especially of his cultural work “resettlement” of Zefyria’s School and stated that he would support this project. But also Luisa Ayala, architect (Canada – Venezuela) and head of the “Milograma” Project, was also enchanted, as an architect and as a person with the village of Zefyria, and is preparing to participate in the next Project at the Old School entitled “Like Water” (September)".
